L+ `8 q% v& H% ^Firmware development engineer for overseeing and supporting the development of diagnostic and product test related firmware used in testing xxx storage board & system products during manufacturing. The person in this position will oversee and coordinate FW development done by xxx’s ODM partners, and provide maintenance and support of the resulting firmware. The person will participate in defining functions and interfaces, maintain source control, track problems, and work with xxx’s ODM partners and Mfg Test Dev engineers to verify the firmware and resolve problems. The person in this position will be a liaison between the xxx Manufacturing Test Development group in North America and xxx’s ODM partners in Taiwan. The person will need to have excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English
' J" a( |& B: [Requirements/Qualifications (Education)
; X. m+ y' [$ ]2 b! C- BS Computer Eng, Electrical Eng, or Computer Science
, k( R4 d8 s! F- 5 or more years of experience in developing FW for storage controllers, servers, or similar
systems
& q7 N& c, y- m' A  G- Experience with and knowledge of server architecture, CPUs, memories, PCI bus, I2C bus, serial I/F, Ethernet I/F, and storage IO I/Fs (e.g. SAS, iSCSI, FC)
! z" A) J0 P$ I4 n' C" R- Programming experience in C and C++ required and Java preferred
2 o1 ?+ L4 A0 b" u7 d- Knowledge & experience of the Linux OS
- Experience in developing diagnostics and test functions for HW listed above
