威盛電子（VIA）將於6月6日（三）假君悅飯店舉辦2007威盛電子科技論壇（VTF2007），本次主題訂定為『Ultra Mobility』，搭配『Small is Beautiful』之主要理念，將著重探討超級行動世代的x86平台軟硬體、設計和服務發展趨勢，以及推動Mobility 2.0應用紀元的策略步驟。

威盛電子指出，Mobility 2.0的應用紀元將超越今日行動網路的限制，透過新世代超級行動裝置（UMD）瀏覽Web 2.0完整功能和體驗行動運算的真實經驗。重量1公斤以下、採用x86架構、能填補筆記型電腦和手機不足之處的輕便手持式設備，將滿足消費者在應用、資訊和娛樂等方面的功能需求。

威盛電子總經理陳文琦將為VTF2007揭開序幕，同時於上午的主題演說中發表威盛對於超級行動生活世代的發展前景；緊接著，微軟（Microsoft）Ultra-Mobile PC首席工程師（Chief Architect）Otto Berkes也將再度蒞臨，並針對UMD的軟體和創新設計發表演說；其他主講者還包括Packard Bell，他將從不同角度觀察超級行動世代的發展，提出全新的設計和技術觀點。
