Generally speaking ,the root cause of ESD failed is from below.

<ii>clamp NMOS's turn-on rate.
$ A* A% J9 n/ f( x9 z<iii>Not follow design rule.......................
! A! q9 x S- p4 r- I8 d9 a& xAs we know ,RC-control is to keep clamp NMOS off when IC is on normal operation.(us)4 s0 R' ^" \4 I/ S7 b
When sufferred ESD pulse(ns),GGNMOS be turned on by coupling .
$ [- m3 p) f# Q HIf adding inverter between RC and clamp NMOS,it will speed up clamp NMOS turned on.' }2 t$ s1 Z/ a x, G) O
