Scalable video coding (SVC) was developed by the Joint Video Team (JVT) of ISO/IEC MPEG &/ L4 M+ p2 K7 J" g# ^% y
ITU-T VCEG in a standardization project completed in October 2007. The SVC enhancement of
# {2 g5 P+ _( `; [* V$ Uthe AVC core design includes the specification of three scalable profiles (the Scalable Baseline,
3 e+ m) D. D1 V b+ |Scalable High, and Scalable High Intra profiles). It enables the construction of SVC bitstreams that
d; _8 T1 u4 M0 Z# kcontain reduced bit rate substreams. The substreams can be extracted from the complete bitstream,3 T: Q2 z, B+ Z
thereby providing scalability in terms of bit rate, decoding complexity, and frame rate, spatial3 _5 f0 ]6 ?% K
