% r1 m7 D8 Y' O' _( t5 t8 G5 m* q所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來

2 d" O; K) A: o& {只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

AE工作內容：

8 M1 c0 ?0 Y3 A6 o原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
2.layout review
原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
2 J6 P6 O, |) N; |現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。
4.Training
教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
sales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。

, ]( c8 R. c  p4 q- QIC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
( {& w8 O7 z$ x# p) [/ r4 ]3 N根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
0 i7 l  Y2 `4 G+ y快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。
2.溝通能力
' E& A3 l. y3 V不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
工作事半功倍。
3.語言能力
無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
1 {2 L3 c' }) X會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
6 \% c) w! r8 u/ ]4.EQ能力
AE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
5 D- n3 q& y0 e良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
. Z6 w+ B& d3 ?$ K常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。
5.多工及管理能力
  ?% e1 ~; L0 Q  Z& z& `通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配
時間及資源也是很重要的。

AE的背景與出路：

目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
" a! }- P1 w0 x% O! q三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
$ b( C: V/ I3 S9 H; r) e4 t/ N# O! Y6 ~合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
! j5 N7 f  O; w3 x出路：
AE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
9 I( U1 M4 H( r! ]7 O- g9 B3 b# nAE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
2 k7 k8 W3 ~% d) H  ?, O6 N; C" z. l薪水：
+ J) ]8 ~( G+ k1 b8 n- [2 d一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：

$ ]5 \1 _* [* Y5 I- B不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

以上是一般IC廠的AE資訊，系統廠的AE又會有不同的角色及工作內容，有待有經驗者分享

7 n1 U1 G. C' b, W* \- Q那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

& S; V3 H& C% q3 t/ M, G5 J雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

. o+ G7 K. b2 M9 v. Q在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快


FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

7 r+ n* M$ v/ _9 ~* u$ T有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

. b- e3 z" [; n. I! T, n  B因此會交際和實力一樣重要

* F" W3 t6 O: F+ _7 a有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE需要的專業?

FAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

6 T4 Z4 R% t& m1 Q( }. p+ i8 ~/ ^零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

( p& z" m! ]3 C+ j( y看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

' c: R% m$ _& |: p' h- B專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

' P. P3 y5 q5 ?5 }  y' {. Q0 p; s專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

- |& c3 n6 q/ W7 b! O差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

6 N: U) U/ S% b嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

FAE的發展

. ?* m" L+ U8 F$ U! n由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

  G& E- _9 \2 b  \加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

以上三點是最主要的發展方向

$ G* z9 M; g3 Z若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

5 k4 J4 G; B* F: D; X* {因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD

對於整體的工作效率會有很大的幫助 一點小小的淺見
