$ M6 l7 Z+ D7 `7 l" _$ {, w之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
  [2 D4 @6 s3 D9 {9 F$ F) x雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
* \* [, ]- L% j* y2 w7 u' _只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

去那邊不就是死路一條!  還是說可以過去那邊邊做邊學

1.schematic review and design
/ L/ _4 V  O3 D' k1 P" Z# x& U& Y原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
2 ^$ ~8 Z9 n# O5 s. {也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
% E* [) @8 I, j8 N9 E2.layout review
4 j0 _2 {, B0 ]; O原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
$ T) X% p# |* b; ~8 G% \現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。

" ~. u" ^+ F* a& J教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與

IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
5 v; S3 i, r, B- \快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。

9 U' ~( s; k/ W不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
' J; J) i9 u% E7 B3 u) Q溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
工作事半功倍。
3.語言能力
無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
) L. g. i; }1 H% `/ R/ O. T" p* J會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
4.EQ能力
0 a( I+ d! u) zAE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。

通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配

AE的背景與出路：

目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
4 W5 A/ ~* S( ~$ T* U3 F三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
; [; r! i9 P: F+ e) P合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
出路：
" c5 H% L/ \& t$ B) |6 FAE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
0 W+ j3 M- K4 G. _+ BAE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
薪水：
一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：

' A8 k- k! u0 X% m  g不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

  P4 I( J  }3 C對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

) r  R( T. ]- A( m" `! _7 c還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

2 c! B1 C5 x0 U1 Q8 P  b- ]FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

6 [# R1 B7 u2 x; `& A由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

  C# A1 A1 C+ v; f9 R: u有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

0 m6 }9 X$ {) M  F有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

3 ~6 C2 ~, |7 F4 @1 W因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

再來才是考慮自己的專業能力夠不夠

FAE需要的專業?

FAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

6 p. D% s7 |1 l: ~零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

3 `- B: k( Q6 u% L8 c專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

5 j5 G) j2 l( |2 a/ p專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

4 U; D# d5 m. Z7 Y" m差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

- l5 R( ]1 V) O" K* p嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

所以最需要的專業 應該是嘴砲技能...XD

看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

以上三點是最主要的發展方向

+ S# ^* x0 |  J5 u9 ?) r- i: o若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

) H6 U  B/ T: D! S3 m& ?8 m1 x! S1 J若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
