If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre - M' z) e+ @2 ]5 DInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets. * X. w& R/ H0 z5 e: wBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.7 p7 u' q0 Y0 ?4 d# M" P
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure: 5 k& s5 s$ @3 w/ v+ r% O3 z+ c1. Open the viewer. @ T @+ m7 `" \- U7 X7 ~5 u% F
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened. * E6 }2 L( H! S1 C& A3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…0 v* e5 N0 S+ {3 x6 U$ M6 p
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.+ W* s; d* t& ?3 y) \% \/ }
5. Click Connect. * h9 w- e3 B/ L6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer.
