, M5 p2 i$ P$ P/ Z$ s: e- b- v0 vThe imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels. D& o& q2 K& ^) l l/ m
* E' G7 ^9 C6 t2 u Q5 m1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms. 2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation. 4 W: g3 H: t. Y8 o$ q1 ~0 ^0 T' t
3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms * F# n. G: z6 n& L
4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules.

Requirements: 3 E* q1 G( |7 N& l' ^$ V$ @4 c
1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields
; K) q; C2 n( i' E% V2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline . t& G. J2 {6 }
3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline
& I4 q4 [' j8 ^% U1 ^: Z4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus
' p; P0 `% q8 v/ r, |5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus 1 I* W5 \" T6 j! \* m) X
