The Dortmund-based company Aerowest GmbH is exhibiting at Intersolar for the first time this year, presenting its new software, ‘AeroSolar’, which makes detailed calculations about the irradiation potential of roof areas. Aerowest has specialized in the production of high resolution geodata and creates, among other things, aerial images of urban areas for Google Earth. Using a twin-engine airplane the data are recorded with a resolution accuracy of approximately three to five centimeters and are subsequently converted into 3D models of buildings. more

Partial and temporary shading can be caused by clouds, trees, neighboring buildings or dirt and can lead quickly to significant energy loss. The latest product from SOLON, the ‘SOLON Black 160/05’ roof-integrated system, can be used with all common roof coverings. The photovoltaic modules from SOLON with integrated installation system replace the previous bricks and roof tiles and can be screwed directly to the roofing battens. Individual modules overlap just like conventional tiles to make sure that water runs off optimally. more |
