The imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels. 1 |. N4 a; C! y# ?- U$ N7 i' _
2 ^: [% e2 H% z {/ K$ ]" N1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms. & m- E' ~" Q0 x' V- r
2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation. 0 |/ _) ]+ N" @1 p
3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms
0 J$ n, n! _% _4 P9 V( ^4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules. 4 ` O- b/ P, X: d1 p; ]& Z" V; f: G
5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

Requirements:
6 x8 d7 D, D. S1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields
& X. _. X7 @. |6 M+ ^8 \9 j; N r7 f2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
& k( D: G( l5 T4 K2 }$ _3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline 9 ~# _" I/ t" v6 C% q1 Z, C' a
4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus 1 ?1 F' |4 n4 }: X3 Z# N% O
5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus
