7 w& d3 P4 W& v大致了解過後,喔 簡單說就是以前NTP(Netowork Time Protocol)的軟體時間解決方案的延伸加強版。使用硬體的方式將時間的精準度提升到1 ms。不僅可以可以在網通產品用,未來任何消費性產品要跨不同國家區域,就可以透過GPS的模組,自動更新時間的資訊,完全不需人為設定來指定時間。' R& {$ f& b, I6 z, [! n

Time Protocol (PTP) is being used by industrial automation applications for precise time synchronization (PTS) on Ethernet networks. PTS provides accurate time synchronization for distributed control nodes.8 S( v8 O3 z# @' o' B

The IEEE 1588 precision time protocol handles synchronisation in industrial control systems to within less than a microsecond. This timing includes synchronising local clocks in sensors, actuators, and other terminal devices using the same network that also transports process data. The 1588 clock is used in a sensor in one of two ways. It can generate a timestamp at the moment the data is acquired or used as a mechanism to generate the acquisition trigger. Such precise timing is crucial to real time industrial Ethernet.& r) c. `2 M9 `0 ^
