% D' j4 E* E) W) OWith application of VLSI technology such sophisticated source codecs can be realized
: U3 p$ k  V. T0 p4 V: deconomically. A novel DCT/IDCT ASIC chip for video codec in real time has been designed
and tested using Ipm CMOS standard cell technology. This chip meets the stringent
7 g) J/ N$ X8 @1 r! Y7 b' Q% i1 Urequirement of a low bit rate codec standards proposed by CCITT.

2D DCT 應該都是分成 Horizontal 1D DCT 和 Vertical 1D DCT.
