    • Two-phase heat transfer devices such as vapor chambers and heat pipes

In our manufacturing division, we have a high visibility opening for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering Group in Taiwan.
/ b9 T9 M/ ?1 hThe prime responsibilities of this position are:
7 L0 x5 T) Z- D+ N1 f" Q$ H    • Direct and control the Manufacturing Engineering Group in Taiwan in accordance with the goals, objectives, and tasks defined by Corporate Engineering.
    • Ensure consistent methods and a sound rigorous approach to all tasks.
+ w! e8 `+ H1 [; c+ |! z8 l    • Mentor the engineering team in Taiwan.
& i* s6 W: u) l$ j* G2 v    • Report status to the Parent company (Unites States).
7 G- F+ U% B& c4 S1 R    • Establish and maintain a strong presence to ensure that production quality measures are consistent with and enforce engineering product requirements.
9 m1 B' _1 T7 }    • Lead effort to work with suppliers to improve quality and lower costs.

Specific qualifications
: ?$ F- I% c! R3 P5 t+ c    • Reasonable proficiency in English is required for this position.
7 r6 F8 O+ {( b" u. ]    • 8+ years of industry experience as a mechanical or manufacturing engineer.
. C; M6 ?" g6 a    • 3+ years of engineering management experience.
    • Experience in low to mid-volume manufacturing.
0 o, r  `# m& Q) C8 L% B    • A creative approach to solving manufacturing challenges in a cost-effective way.
    • BS degree or higher in Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering.
' S( Y* E4 E9 p3 J6 \1 r$ v% X    • 5 years or more direct experience in the development and implementation of efficient, tightly controlled production processes needed in the production of our products:
        ◦ Strong working knowledge in metal fabrication processes
, ~! Q, Q# X$ K( l3 n- Z0 E' {4 j            ▪ Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, forming, diecasting is required.
            ▪ Brazing and soldering process knowledge (including cleaning) is a strong plus.
            ▪ Experience with thermal products (heat sinks, heat pipes, and vapor chambers) or vacuum products is a strong plus.
, ?$ V: d# D1 M; O2 f7 c, P3 c7 R        ◦ Provide useful manufacturing guidelines to the USA engineering
    • Understanding of ISO-9001 or equivalent quality management system.
- }1 C( h0 i  C: o* O        ◦ Will work with Our's Asia’s QA manager to work with 3rd party suppliers to achieve quality products.
2 P2 _( c( D5 ?+ }5 l    • Understanding of Statistical Process Control methods and production testing is a plus.
2 A  J6 H6 A2 Z% h: x/ l    • A data-based approach to troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

What you will do in this role
- o. G  x2 T# T0 o    • Act as the representative of the Engineering to plan, implement, and direct activities in Taiwan that support the objectives defined by the Corporate Director of Engineering.
    • Lead the effort to continually improve our's supply chain.
    • Use your directly applicable experience to guide the development of cost-effective and reliable manufacturing processes for Our products.
1 a) X3 B  V2 \+ a    • Create an engineering environment that relies on the repeatable application of process – not tribal knowledge or seat-of-the-pants methodology – to produce the industry’s best and most consistent vapor chambers, heat pipe-based products, heat sinks, cold plates, and closed-loop liquid cooling products.
    • Evaluate, justify, and recommend capital equipment necessary for production and test.
    • Implement appropriate metrics and Statistical Process Control methods to evaluate and monitor the production line.
; K) F8 s- N" ?! a' e4 S    • Apply both innovation and fundamental engineering principles to constantly improve products and processes.
    • Manage processes by rigorously documenting them in accordance with Company and ISO requirements, and ensuring that they are scrupulously applied in all day-to-day operations.
