Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
$ o. m* U8 N, e0 W* dIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between g Z# i' i( ^9 }
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
+ l) A- \9 m+ {Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
8 n, n& A! R* t1 v" [* W5 iBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
2 j$ `# U2 G) N4 NYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
! y8 X L- A) ]4 S# p' Q+ T1. Open the viewer.+ \+ e0 Q9 C+ O4 n) R! r, e
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened." C5 s6 @( i, c
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
; W, v% s. z: U( q0 l1 T4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
