Setting Up Communication With a Viewer( Y5 R# w) C5 @' P
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between6 r' G* d0 G# L
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
2 G: z' @, X" D% |' a, g; xInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
9 b, g# K, z9 Q6 c* N! ~By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.$ M9 F# l- J4 i6 ^! ^# f7 ~
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
) P; k1 J3 y- O! `6 |$ v$ s' n% F8 h3 O1. Open the viewer./ s, |! @3 h( s! ?0 m4 _4 L
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.+ }( |3 f5 Y2 R- f, ]4 U
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
& f- m8 ^5 d9 S4 W# |4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.4 p, D1 D8 x! E- b& M* F& e6 L
5. Click Connect.- I& t* P3 _. P8 r3 s, J' j
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
