Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) K4 H1 N% ?, b$ I: P5 [
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
6 v" G( A2 q3 A4 R0 i: qBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
3 B5 ?8 ~6 n' M( w. T3 D DYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:! u- `# c$ \, R& R, {3 E0 |+ Q
1. Open the viewer.
3 d$ B2 d- L6 C, m' c8 s2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
8 G* k0 D* R2 t( ]. l3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…) y0 O3 i1 P* j8 D+ `
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.1 D( a5 N6 O! b
5. Click Connect.
