Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre- ~" h& L4 v" {1 O
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.# W- p+ f; ]5 K% ^" E
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
6 D0 U, B# N+ J7 c+ P+ xYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
! b b' r. P& a6 V1. Open the viewer.
& {' G; b9 A$ d) |" C2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
4 [9 L. m- J2 l! y2 V3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( f9 K! L" p1 s' T
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
