Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
; k4 U+ o9 Y9 \9 i6 \% i( d yIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between5 {" y; [' W; x' G0 O( n' R, e% @
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre8 l+ D8 R [. O4 g
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.1 m* X+ `4 c g2 ?- u
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.( B' L/ L, f" U$ q0 @
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:" z2 v) t2 s( G1 {4 Z7 K c6 S
1. Open the viewer.6 {$ \0 S4 w/ L% _- `
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened., W2 K' Y+ r8 Q Q) k
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…" y( i4 y$ p8 \2 w5 @
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
