Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 z4 H& Y* ?" e8 TIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
9 N* B; D; ~! M/ Uthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre! l; D) ~6 S$ K+ B
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
% j0 E* c) Y# O7 ]) Z( ^1 ^% {0 eBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.& p# Z% @# q: J. _1 T
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:7 e$ z& E0 U8 d/ O7 ~, H+ m
1. Open the viewer.
' B4 R$ |6 c( W/ j0 F2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.

4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.; n3 N" v9 S+ v( S- |
5. Click Connect.
