Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
6 T9 r% s, ?" G5 W" F; IIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
/ o' J" m8 T0 p% D( othe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
3 I& ?9 H& r* K+ PInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.9 G3 n$ v2 @% y, _& c* x
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.; e( j8 Z5 ]$ I6 i! w" G5 D
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:7 z* e% i% ^" ?+ ^" S4 W% N a; i' y
1. Open the viewer.2 F: Z( Q. p2 b8 A7 x
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.3 A) u6 K6 i& q2 [6 Y+ T$ `: o
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( a% f& F( a7 O: R4 r; `
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.+ l5 P5 C i% F0 Q$ m
