Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
- L4 A/ o: M0 A. @- KIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between+ l; q- q" T3 l$ ]$ s* q1 t
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
, w1 o6 T) V6 E, oInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
0 |2 Q( R5 M; NBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
# j/ E, H) D. E3 f L1 mYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:3 V; V Y( F* V
1. Open the viewer.% `4 M4 B3 X4 C2 q" u: K, O
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.; l! C' [; i! n' K- j" N; b+ i
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% F4 Q9 [* U' W6 p! ^
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.- K" J; S; E' U$ v/ A
5. Click Connect.
