Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
, B8 K5 H( A D' d( S2 x! vIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between' s8 Y: P( a) b" E Q
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
. f) a9 H7 A% M" A% BInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
* s' H, N# s6 M8 j( wBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

$ ` `) U! t+ Q/ I1. Open the viewer.$ V' F8 U; X& Z! |$ O9 m
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
" z0 U" y, f$ G- r R0 ~3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
- \. I: k/ ~9 x4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
