Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

. S# [& v! y' M- e' Pthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
+ _4 }9 F0 r$ w1 @; F2 i6 Z; hInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.; A7 A' L: i3 l# c: R) _
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.! C: T1 U3 ?' L3 W4 l
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:* q0 |, L3 M4 S4 M
1. Open the viewer.. D: p2 ~! `' k! y+ P" j0 s; M
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.2 f2 X$ B/ p- c0 p+ `9 d
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
0 Q3 a. N$ i7 s- h# C. w4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.$ @1 {9 p) y3 H: N5 a! |: r Z
