Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
% C8 r( P- A* YIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
5 d) G+ T* Y( m1 W+ E, f# jthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
, E8 _' l8 v V8 WInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.3 X/ S+ _) t- G+ Z( C
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
! @% ?) E9 u$ w) gYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:. _; E2 ~: X) o% P
1. Open the viewer.
( {# v! d! A2 m' @/ E+ g( Q2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
m* s% ~* s$ B2 Z3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
' u( c& d! @) C I( c5 v9 I; z4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
