Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
; B6 i/ O& n2 `8 G3 r& u+ j- mIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between/ \5 c. s% I+ L
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 s6 b3 s g' i& S0 n( ~Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.( r& b, Y1 s7 n% ~4 Q' s
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.) j4 i T& {2 g: z9 I
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
/ ^; \2 J+ Q4 P4 a7 ~, D1. Open the viewer.
/ w; }) N; \8 y4 n* b5 e% m2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.6 R# Z. ^8 B6 T" Z6 Y
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
2 L* i( M& I, C% W g: m' r4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
