Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
P4 n9 ?, A$ O/ ^+ yIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between/ B1 L1 t& K; x* t Q/ k+ \
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& r" d) i+ l; ]( k }3 T2 T# KInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.9 A* D5 i+ W# k: u; B" ] l
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic. C8 b; h' [' W; q
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:' X( P$ ]0 y6 q. ~9 ^/ o: _
1. Open the viewer.5 o4 A6 A/ o' s
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.9 A$ D4 ?, p7 z9 H# c. ]+ i
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% h2 k1 k" `( x0 E/ I0 K" p$ r. r
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.5 Z) d# f2 a# m n- x8 \6 t) V1 T% G
5. Click Connect.
