Setting Up Communication With a Viewer8 V. i8 A- F; x1 ~& T
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
: U5 k% K0 t, w- U3 {$ W/ @" {* e; v0 qthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
0 u! n) f. E, y" e$ g% `4 u+ pInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.( _3 m& F, e* p9 N" M! L
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
" l3 t# T3 w R# m9 ^7 iYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:' Q* r+ ^7 t* T
1. Open the viewer.. u4 g2 b' `9 G
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.5 o! I6 H* Q+ e" q( [7 e! W* E$ i
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
1 `* `- n- |3 V/ A4 M; a2 C4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.& W$ [% k# @/ H, L3 C1 ^
5. Click Connect.
