Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
) H, [8 U. X# \, y" X4 a- i/ QIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
& d9 g2 y/ W6 `! n6 lthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
7 K$ |# L" M' M) c0 @Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.& u' c' U8 B# Q* f3 z
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.3 ]/ e9 U; T! c0 G1 \" R" W
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
0 d: z* {: C( f2 l0 q3 L4 B3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…7 E& l# I; a" n5 ~% h4 z
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
