Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
8 K [0 L9 K. B" WIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
W3 h4 `" l; f+ K& q: wthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre! d) Z5 C$ w' M4 {1 _
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.0 j5 U! X; M" c7 H x1 }
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
6 U; X+ }9 z! zYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
* k) Z( ] _8 X% n1. Open the viewer.
0 c9 g0 `6 W) Y" t9 V( @0 p4 U/ ~2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.8 y0 o" C# P5 I- a+ D
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
! d) J' `- z* n) E2 ~7 T% o/ U3 F4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
