Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

! ~5 m1 k; t8 L" ~( Athe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre* R6 Q0 L+ `5 Y; U4 s* [3 T9 g; @
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
6 b6 O% e' ~$ q9 L# [4 tBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.4 b# K* t1 g6 g! u0 i6 u
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
M4 u: `; q1 S! X, S; H J! j1. Open the viewer.
& _7 f5 B; z; G; ]8 `+ E2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened. [ c& \ S* @' p# a
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…

5. Click Connect.
