Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
/ f: K. ]: c% {8 b7 rIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
" Y( s9 t5 X# p* j' b, |5 lthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre8 F8 G/ B$ t }0 T
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets." x; y0 u% M5 Z
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
3 u7 Q) V# I1 B2 uYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:8 M' g5 i, U1 o4 f' a
1. Open the viewer.* e$ a, W) i: e- H. S' l; M! \# e
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened./ N! o, t+ @8 N
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…2 H# R5 z5 ^( s* C: G" e
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
