Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

; n. `2 y. x6 othe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
+ _0 ~: g1 [! _4 W# E' fInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.& P( u9 H, _& L. e! f
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.$ a8 T) `+ R/ l, }& ^, w. G" d+ [
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:/ u+ ?# _# F. {: O) z' _9 g
1. Open the viewer.- A7 A1 N* h" P) X- [+ G
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
! E( C8 ?% c) W$ e+ L3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…2 n) X* S1 ?9 l. j! \& S
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.6 m8 i$ r& x M5 ^ F( u0 R* w5 I
5. Click Connect.
