Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
y. z3 Y& i; @- b, rIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between# z& e$ L8 L: y
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
( j% C+ s8 A7 N! v- ^Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.8 ~& u5 ]2 l8 S' ~6 t& g
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.9 z, s" e- ]/ z8 Y n
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
4 Z& c# k2 V) Q6 z: e1. Open the viewer./ u* F/ Z. ~) G* ]! `, ~! ]; r
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
$ c7 N* k. H6 ]3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…9 H( q. K( v, l7 V# l
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
