Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
, O0 N0 U& w% I; OIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
0 |8 l4 e9 h% ~the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
6 k& l/ J. n2 a6 H9 b4 S, O/ p6 @Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.( h0 G3 @+ b6 c4 i6 ^
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.1 D4 j/ |8 @/ ]: m1 _( [
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:1 h R2 t* @# r7 c! N* H+ s$ T
1. Open the viewer.; y5 T& R$ C* R; b) I
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.6 _2 T9 G) @0 J0 |% ?
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…6 j$ X7 a9 E! @; }! D5 R
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' _: G" |- E" }! i3 K3 y$ k6 W# O
