Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 K" `7 d! [% l( GIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between$ F6 V+ E2 f8 Y. F
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre4 J9 |; `, \/ I3 I; G
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.0 H8 r) p3 Y/ H; c
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.* T0 e6 x0 f; ~7 K* h* o" z
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
& n6 G6 T: G# M9 z$ \- Q1. Open the viewer.
\. u i* B5 i/ e" \2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.& x2 x$ t3 ?/ R' F" z7 V
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
6 P; _" O9 ]* R0 q4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
