Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
5 g0 m; [7 W8 {, gIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
" G2 t( h+ F0 ^9 A/ _the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre9 Y% {7 }" f! h. q- V1 B3 A
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
* m6 a- D: W8 \) [! p+ ^: HBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.6 r/ X- R# x- b5 f1 p
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:% W4 c$ V& i& |4 n) A. a
1. Open the viewer.# F+ _1 c) }; q* A
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.0 O+ }1 l, t L; I3 N1 N9 S& U
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…7 n/ g$ H% \- B8 h1 ]6 r/ e
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.: F! _1 O* G% g/ Z$ W0 z/ ?* }7 u/ v
5. Click Connect.% T; y: p4 a: n) \
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
