Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
+ t# i) z# \0 B- x, p5 \3 Q% hIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between; D+ q9 U9 _% ^7 r# W0 }( D5 R' W
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
, M$ p. X7 ]- M( x- i4 n* kInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.( {8 T1 J0 o' f+ P, F2 q+ A, D
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.+ w* k% U6 f8 h* d C' N- T
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
+ ^& P# M* w7 c' }/ [1. Open the viewer. c3 a/ n+ N9 Q* _. k& j
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.+ U( V+ ]! p/ E# Q7 b* T4 m6 P
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
# n4 s. h, N4 g8 E3 ?4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
