Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
. ] d' n1 P3 FIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
* O0 h4 m0 x* a1 {1 b6 ^the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
7 I# q" u% v8 `4 GInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
1 k$ V C; V/ m9 l- J1 F! A( j/ gBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
9 X1 G0 K5 J2 `1 FYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:$ N' q1 l. C+ K
1. Open the viewer.
/ w( K) U6 Q/ c$ p2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
: ^+ Q E% t9 y% g" j5 i3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…# g* K& U* J* ?( R3 S) Q
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
