Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
. V3 O# P* l, d: J. Y: EIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
/ i3 w n8 O' h. F* K/ y% l& sthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& m4 Y* X [) `4 K1 x$ x, k1 B+ BInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.& B: y6 Q, F3 L8 x4 ]/ T
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.7 o. ^4 t9 c E" [
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
7 K5 E5 h" ^* K1. Open the viewer.% c4 _3 g' L: i+ t8 j' y
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.( R/ O! j( d9 `7 V7 x
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
& g3 R: _6 X; ^, F' g4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
