Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 [* Z G" u4 ~; _If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
6 P4 o9 ^; ? e q9 ]$ _: fthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
* _" m' z& N8 b+ i9 EInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
- e5 x) m# k% X6 g" vBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.; Q3 P; @: b& }! K. B, u
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:. n+ i8 N) D# U" o5 ~- ?( z( ~
1. Open the viewer.
O4 M5 M; @6 F6 M( \3 b2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.* n L* ~* Y0 Y- R# l% @' A
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…1 b: z# A/ _9 @4 b
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.# v: C, b1 w; f8 R; L
5. Click Connect.
