Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
9 q4 }# }) }/ J/ {! OIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
) R4 b$ _6 c+ C# b$ d9 }( l& Hthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
5 M0 u- }# i- L/ {: k( K9 [- ~Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
0 h# ]8 \6 B' N2 `/ p& ]: XBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.7 C" v: j9 q6 c/ r# T3 S/ w% S
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:, F8 [% O* F- N0 Q# W
1. Open the viewer.0 W4 u2 s4 w: n: c( T
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.% b3 q5 x5 D4 w' w% G; [
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…, F+ u0 _( C/ Q/ X* T+ ^
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
