Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
" g' N; ?0 ?; a4 K I- tIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between& b$ C4 X P! z; |+ H
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre9 ]3 Z( \5 u i9 J$ p x) u
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
5 H( K3 p% g6 w% LBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.( A8 P( Y* h3 ~
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
+ o8 ?+ C$ H- b/ p3 j4 e) v+ B1. Open the viewer.* F7 V, b$ p* N5 U% y
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.

4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' Z1 z: |; r5 z3 y( }

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
