Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
. v; g! ^) d# g6 i/ LIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
: o6 g# z1 e* K% w A! Pthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre( ~) e7 C0 ?0 d
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
: @; ]# U- z0 L( QBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
* t0 L: Z/ {9 G; JYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:6 m2 M6 X7 T3 T# V; i
1. Open the viewer." O& E8 q" ]" Z3 E
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
# U, j, {8 ]* K# D3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…" s1 u$ Z( g9 L* b
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.; k1 Z7 M( N/ ]5 K+ T
5. Click Connect.
