Setting Up Communication With a Viewer6 R, N# ?$ P( g: U7 u
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
; M. e3 ~* X- o4 R2 C9 }" g8 ~the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) H! F% m4 n3 U3 a f1 J
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
! j7 y8 B! J5 h- u" X; nBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
1 _+ w) c9 ~1 v+ N0 a% EYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:& N" z8 Y& b* v& E; L
1. Open the viewer.6 C2 f3 `% K3 N5 F: o1 n! B/ p
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.6 y! }" V# _8 }: Y6 ?* }8 |
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…- }5 o6 {1 l- S. k# E! }
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.9 N& m4 u# B: w3 h" x
5. Click Connect.% K$ L/ B0 w6 x: f2 B
