Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
8 D( P6 Y, K+ h6 O! m. B2 lIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between% b% C) b- g3 T" N( m. m# J
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre' d K0 p' A5 x. C% Q
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
1 A( \: r O8 u* r* q% k- a* s6 pBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.& Y4 K" }/ v# b5 a' @
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:5 ^ K2 @% R J7 h- w8 p
1. Open the viewer.
& q# v4 e& `" p# e1 g+ h2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
# J: N) f9 T- y- {0 Z+ ~4 T' F: g( b3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% g* l' ]3 g7 j5 O
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
