Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
1 z/ X$ a6 P# lIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
" F& D, [: I" `the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
9 `. W0 y6 _. K1 H- ], Q: a; KInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.3 o( J& H; s* }. }# t) Z# X
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic. S# p' L- G* g8 O
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
8 ~5 s5 n0 D' A2 d3 u" y2 B1. Open the viewer.% I5 N; X) e# Q: b
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.: N5 @* R$ f7 }8 H
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer… c- d0 r- s2 ?2 Z+ X4 d
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer. x6 F8 @: Y! f, k3 a
5. Click Connect.
