Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
( b. R% i* v5 E1 A; c5 J* TIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
' ^5 C5 m# P; ?" u [the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
% C: s2 J3 [! uInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.* y& K8 y, ]5 D3 M: Q, O6 D
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic. M6 X- k3 ?$ Q
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
7 h0 p' @! o" h6 B* x1. Open the viewer.' e, e8 k3 l6 v, F, m: V$ Z
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.; j1 l5 `$ j5 H: [
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
! ?( ]1 p: b) x: n/ y4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.% z5 E( F9 L: I& C1 _; p
5. Click Connect.
