Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
) J& p3 s1 F$ AIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
- I, U, t5 n+ f$ q; v5 Fthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
2 _) N( T* W" `: Y; p2 K, MInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.+ C6 A, j9 s0 ?- ]$ M, ]
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

8 J4 _+ e+ h) W, i5 R1. Open the viewer.
6 }- C U7 Q! g. N% }8 U. W0 B2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.

4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
