Setting Up Communication With a Viewer4 C. D N& J; P6 w( g( f! c
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between& t4 K( O' |5 C+ d1 Y
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre$ _: d: ~# P& b' v. P
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
8 s! U" x7 g8 L6 ~5 }4 yBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
% m- ]- H7 D" ^You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:: h4 r7 Q5 ?8 Q& t
1. Open the viewer.( p; J& [" Y% ~; R9 Y9 I
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.& M5 [* F2 K% |% z7 F" n1 ?8 X7 F
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…4 u; b$ R! ?7 e" z7 k5 d
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.2 {0 u" `! \: p
5. Click Connect.
