Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre8 K/ F, q; j( A; C8 f
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.1 a1 W6 l9 F5 D/ e
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
" D1 @# T. x3 I& N' i% D$ VYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
$ |) V0 k( Y/ |6 A1. Open the viewer.
. n; Z1 ^3 s6 e6 J2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
# R4 ^) `3 C' R6 p: Q h3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( A" T$ f4 i/ b# Y5 D7 l$ i, B
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
