Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
+ ]# V) W. b8 R. O* VIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between; ^' {* w3 v9 p4 E5 l- U
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre: s6 z; Q- F/ b# `+ e9 n
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.4 w: I/ U) w7 X! n1 ^" R7 ]& I
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
" ~9 g. p5 z& ?5 _! L6 HYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
% n" ^) S4 U3 K! H1. Open the viewer.! j" r) F0 [ f
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.8 o) o6 ?& ]% d
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
5 K- {* W% l! r4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
