Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
5 n5 n" E6 `4 n" e2 y& qIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between$ g! U: B# t1 G. T3 B
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
+ ]' v5 p, E9 f$ v) e) oInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
) [# K- Y; M- O* `3 P, I4 s! HBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.9 O! Y$ m7 y0 S) B& v4 `' G9 J
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:- s; e4 x1 ]" a0 H$ k9 Q& Y9 x4 R
1. Open the viewer.6 `) _# O0 @; a/ e: {; S
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.+ ~8 h. F% R: Q
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
0 J: m, n$ R/ B: `. Q; B4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
