Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
" ^+ l2 ?( r8 D1 aIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
, L J# Y! v% [+ z9 g+ O* ]the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
) L4 l) l/ a" `! H6 j0 PInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
3 g: [. ], N2 F* t7 f$ y$ RBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.( Q2 M- V3 Q6 y0 l, ~
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
* k0 Y+ f$ l2 R) E3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
/ I- ^! c _/ I$ {3 z* _6 r4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
