Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
# l" x7 y9 }. @# u2 {0 O2 }0 N* aBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.6 t* E" }1 q" {7 d* k0 {- a* i
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:, D) X" M" f! ?
1. Open the viewer.
9 F/ ^" K& o! y, \* E- [0 K2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
3 @4 o$ Q" @4 [& N' _3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
$ a1 a) {) ]" J% X4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
