Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 p) N/ m1 K! z* p- z: GInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
% @9 O. d" H/ E$ q' ], r: R: F. \8 ^By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
$ p' V# [2 V* s/ IYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:( H0 I; ^/ Y& t) {
1. Open the viewer.
# A. C! Z2 ?" s9 {8 S' W4 A2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.. a' A* Q1 a* z4 e. g! z
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…6 t0 T; d" H6 I
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.% \+ C! L7 J3 ?4 _& r
5. Click Connect.
