Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 r' u% D2 A, }, iIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between. {' ?3 |# a0 n/ v
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre/ @" q4 T H$ l, k. O1 { G# Q! ^
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
" V3 G; H( R% d2 aBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.6 l2 N8 F4 Y2 w$ M
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
# A! i3 l6 n+ J6 h9 T# x7 l1. Open the viewer.0 T4 z: e& c8 Y% k
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.6 S3 M* D4 H2 [% g+ v4 T1 \& c
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
9 N' o! B8 @4 i. L4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.2 A0 G; o! U6 x, a9 M5 K: Z' q
5. Click Connect.$ T; Z: s9 O/ m. h
