Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
5 D, F8 w$ ?& ^# {1 rIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
0 j* T+ q- {' nthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre& l9 i8 {/ v1 T. w5 @/ d
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets., n, P: K) h& c2 ^% z0 t' J+ r
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic./ e% R2 f& t; y( X+ d7 w7 y
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:2 |; T. b- c$ p. y0 @+ w
1. Open the viewer.
1 T5 G0 ^7 J6 E5 h; K( L; @8 r- @! {# x2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.# \+ o- s% p6 x A+ }% {* p
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
# r* B& M* a5 ~2 g4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer. F6 c0 ^% t K6 M' t
5. Click Connect.
