Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
( B# p5 T" U+ {. }! k& UIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
. L( [4 a2 I+ @) ?the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre, w' O: w) M$ Z9 x. [( w# T
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
3 R' [' w: e( S$ MBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
1 V( j2 y& L0 p; qYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
. z6 \% }+ A; ~0 R9 ~4 K$ T: Q1. Open the viewer.7 h8 F. n/ o' p+ _; E: Q
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.$ J. r9 {$ Z3 k9 U4 Z7 H
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( a& k$ B, X3 q1 s# u
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
