Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 J1 Y' J9 W& bIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
- k) p! E" [. a Z- R# T& Y) ?. Qthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre6 D; u8 v% Q; a k
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.2 Z7 y1 J& w: o V) ?" t p, X$ K, g
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.+ u/ e- Z2 H" {: m" W3 a! W
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
3 G! K! o8 V- e1. Open the viewer.0 X- s3 O( U, n' b3 ~
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.: d6 F" G, Y# v6 K% d
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
2 x( S: ~8 t* s) F8 o+ c4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
