Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
7 [5 J- n q* \$ I+ lBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
' @% R; u5 h% sYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:$ F# Z* G5 J% z5 U0 w4 A# q4 K
1. Open the viewer.' [0 N4 _" Y, N
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.: D& t0 A' V0 t& N9 I1 n# l
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% x% Z5 J9 k* q( h" X& D
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
