Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
( H1 O6 d( U, @" u- Y# J4 U! pIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between, G {5 T- F. n5 j! O& y
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre: z7 t. t) a: X6 |6 q1 Y( | P. q+ w
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets." {9 k: T u+ K3 h/ @, q: P
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.# U& O) s/ i1 ^* \3 i4 d# `
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
* d' }# Y2 Q* j2 ], x* C7 o5 X; X a1. Open the viewer. `% e; G; `2 n3 h* _4 @
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.7 @ W( D2 ?" W5 ?
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…1 \/ Q; _3 h f2 X! O/ c
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer." _0 e8 P& p' Y$ k$ ~5 @! d
5. Click Connect.% L0 r% c( O& s; A, p$ S
