Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
: f. R, @' O! H6 VIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
# E$ }- p; v/ w2 {" `+ cthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre! U) }0 ?# m( X$ ~% C/ G; d
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.; {7 q* x4 X" g! ]9 u* n% Z; R& o
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.: y& f5 u; A6 W( a! B
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
0 o9 X* A. J( ]" T/ S1. Open the viewer.1 ]* b* ~% b/ l. p, {3 ]
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
& \3 W3 I. P/ l. J+ X5 a3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…: ~0 L5 M2 @' N5 m* d4 P
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.: D$ F- }8 \8 M- Z
5. Click Connect.
