Setting Up Communication With a Viewer+ v8 F- G0 e" ]/ t3 D4 }# L5 J6 J
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between5 [( E3 n5 r7 o' {; f g) b; \- z
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 p$ y8 \' d& l& M# dInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.$ L% K( _3 b& X. w% a! J9 ?
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
) v* p. I2 T9 `$ K6 @! RYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:: U1 g, c% B2 r5 ?3 [- O% T
1. Open the viewer.
1 F! P- O5 s+ ^6 d% t" h; K2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened., p0 m3 G6 Z$ C/ g# L
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
1 f' h- y. N" s4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
