Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
; q+ U$ p' V- eIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between2 [9 @1 X% P* t) w: c
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
, m- v9 G) \0 N( c8 aInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
4 ^: ^$ t; P/ S1 E+ L0 g+ [* wBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
K; d( H: @' L/ h9 K& w, DYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:, u, M# y! T! q
1. Open the viewer.. D3 A, m! H! _1 o N
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.0 F6 Q; u( T5 E5 |0 ]4 Z# O1 m
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
+ q; n( m/ J6 S4 U4 o4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.$ z! q2 @- V$ p z& ?
5. Click Connect.
