Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
& l4 X" F1 k' SIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
3 u) i" e; l, K) k1 zthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
! X& G5 R1 T( p) J) u% t3 EInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets." j* q2 b/ d! T3 Y
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.3 i- F% ^- {2 v- \- ?
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
( m9 E( W% O; B! w8 F5 _1. Open the viewer.
( [9 I9 D2 k/ F% X3 z6 P9 i* L2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
4 X! k' K5 E O1 `3 Z+ T/ i1 d* j3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
