Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
: `, V, M6 {+ J% ^+ uIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between3 c* v* V' F; s- j/ ^
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
! F) B* v+ r& L: ]Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
& i; I' n4 E, [% I) RBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic. U2 e/ o% u' R$ b% `
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
, K8 ^ B+ D) N; O7 G# r3 a' I1. Open the viewer.% s: o* a- ]2 ^" w
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.. \% b# N/ r' s7 S
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…* @! k1 t9 _+ I
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
