Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
0 M2 W7 ?& V& |If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between3 n* r% g% {) i1 R& _* C
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre; }! g6 K3 \7 ?0 Z( X/ Z b
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
4 w3 O% I/ O4 U+ W' E1 c6 G8 iBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.. g! T$ n+ S' f+ d/ n9 M; m
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:$ w6 u/ C$ v3 x# C; f2 _
1. Open the viewer.
& j5 f3 t2 r; |$ d2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened./ |" B7 I! N+ O) O2 V9 y" `- G7 c
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…1 G9 i# }1 V# f6 @! }$ h
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.$ Y D& G/ E% `6 ^/ ?
5. Click Connect./ l; T, j/ [( z H
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
