Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
! \5 }$ E2 ^" j% |- lIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
8 Q9 f l, n' O( n) @the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) |' ^0 l% [- q, R3 s; q; R2 k6 i
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.( Z/ z/ J/ K8 S. q- B4 ]& P& r: T
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
8 e$ f q) N* B) BYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:: Q' \0 O6 k* t
1. Open the viewer.. B$ J2 l4 B# }( _3 H) Z- y+ j
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
' m6 z! K4 J. g& B, y0 [3 r; r3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% C) E6 m+ x. O9 ]
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.4 y' N m/ c5 s, f C0 h
5. Click Connect.
