Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
) p F8 A. `& w* R& X$ |If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
1 T3 w! [% M% J- {; b* ~& E5 Athe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre: e# O( E# o+ c4 d7 j4 H
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.+ ?* U1 T9 b, V* }1 G' G
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
/ y7 x: E4 X& i' m) X' AYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
& ?& \; f1 F; i$ J; P7 }8 w1. Open the viewer.
$ ]9 I% E, b* @* F- B- L2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
. \' w* c8 g2 P, d; P1 b3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…* j+ z; Y+ a# n( L
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.6 [' L8 t) p/ J3 t: `7 T0 |/ h, G
5. Click Connect.
