Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
; W. w5 ^; y7 C/ o- E4 N! H# \: ^9 QIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
/ S. y5 t, M2 n( G9 @0 c% ?the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& m4 d1 ^, u6 Y; s% y9 P9 H: hInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.( P4 u8 a" s3 L4 {
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
* y4 _1 d- ?6 U7 Y9 F6 dYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:, h& _3 C0 E& l8 v
1. Open the viewer.& }" n7 d2 j# k& Q/ C
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.) ^% M) x @" T" I# T" [ z v
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…+ M2 ~) i' t* m: C& c! S2 b2 @
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
