Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
# y Q$ S% R( G* Z$ _( }If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
0 _; M1 j8 X+ G' gthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
3 G( a6 {( I+ L1 `% GInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.5 e" A+ Y- Z9 p& L$ y0 m% k
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.4 O# A! D0 ]' b
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:7 y6 z& Q2 {2 ~/ K3 B/ v8 x: [
1. Open the viewer.6 f2 u/ ]) C, @
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
f$ P: m8 f5 p3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…5 O: J0 c0 R! n3 g
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
