Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
$ V# K+ S) F, nIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
) P3 N' W8 E |% E$ b! ~3 r+ @% S" ^the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
9 `5 A* p& E' n! a: KInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
7 p+ E$ y0 N3 k3 w2 A# k% CBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.! _3 e. Y0 d* a# b3 l" [( {
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
$ k$ d* ^# V' z2 q4 e1. Open the viewer.
# u' R; N+ ?; t2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.$ ~. }: N& q9 F% r
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
( ~1 c* l" X; ]( G* F: z3 S2 U4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.( t' t; ^9 T$ C7 v, \
5. Click Connect.
