Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
. @3 o0 d- x% `* e9 J4 wIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between: F2 _1 ~: o9 B8 E! x
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
2 S2 [* ]' Q- I; ]/ @Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.! c2 u: m* h4 M) U/ f# J
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
: F1 \9 x/ c" r4 k }" {* dYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
$ P, S& A$ ?" ^' G% P1. Open the viewer.
8 [, S- q+ `" R: K8 `2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
! d! x _ S3 P/ j3 p K. K# q3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
: J& v0 {+ B( f# Z4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.3 @( a; n7 P T6 K
5. Click Connect.
