事情是這樣的 小弟目前是一年經驗的H/W QA
之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

8 p) [, J( M: c5 s9 f& K5 z" C0 T他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

% o3 u# \2 @, Q' O: c, t要學歷沒學歷 要專業沒專業 英文也是不太行

1.schematic review and design
1 a2 `: p3 N1 j( b% ~4 p原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
, t3 x: B. F4 r0 d+ @8 ^; ^2.layout review
9 }* O0 ^9 w) r/ ?原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
; {7 @0 g; @( g' g: c7 D都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。
4.Training
教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
sales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。

IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
  Q( `3 h! [2 E& t) i根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
. c- J' B! E  ]: g9 P. [快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。
4 k8 a9 d8 d3 i9 g( u2.溝通能力
: D! B7 \/ G' k- k- i$ r5 L9 w* _不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
工作事半功倍。
' a: V1 h) |- w& J3 S( k3.語言能力
7 W5 B5 }7 u7 R9 k5 h# [6 g* L無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
4.EQ能力
AE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。

通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配
時間及資源也是很重要的。

AE的背景與出路：
背景：
目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
出路：
8 P* J1 Z. V) I( i8 cAE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
6 v" X6 H# x& X3 X& p5 D往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
) |, o; s. b% z# s6 g( ?3 TAE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
薪水：
& e4 B% E$ a# q0 M5 d) s& x5 m- L一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：
sales > marketing >= FAE > AE
9 P7 o4 L0 U5 s$ U4 i不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

以上是一般IC廠的AE資訊，系統廠的AE又會有不同的角色及工作內容，有待有經驗者分享

那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

3 X1 c9 N) E! H# p每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

但是由於會接觸到各式各樣的人 其實也算收穫頗多

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

! y- A/ `; _  [) q當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

1 U1 A9 K! Z' c5 U; R, Q7 v& X& n; F我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

8 K0 F! K- I+ \1 J  B% Y在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快

! U( |3 |) S7 J2 V* l! V0 x" YFAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

" t* |& `/ d) u2 j' E! p' b總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

( L1 K, x- z# k# w- W7 P9 ]有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

' |& d8 l) y# w9 M' o專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

FAE的發展

由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

$ _; M$ A- c. _; B; O9 L看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

% {/ E3 }0 e" G加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

) o' G5 p6 @  h; C以上三點是最主要的發展方向

若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要
