Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
% q$ A2 O" l. b4 b2 zIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
8 u" ?; V c N2 Z4 {! ^; |5 _) Jthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) O. d* m: i2 C; d
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
- w% {: S! M, a f6 H/ FBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
8 K2 I" ~2 X% J$ `- Z6 EYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
! ^/ M n7 {* n9 v1. Open the viewer.
& w) z6 Z' O0 K5 k& X2 `2 M2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
r/ m w0 u% k; c3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
0 P8 T1 g0 t7 k4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
