Jitter can be defined as the deviations in a clock’s output transition* r# c% Z+ w ]$ U/ p% q
from their ideal positions. The deviation can either be leading or" g7 C' d+ P, W, a1 L
lagging the ideal position. Jitter is usually specified in ± pico seconds.
3 k# @6 f9 O! Z. ]$ V/ n7 z1 oJitter measurements can be classified into three categories:
* D% Q7 e8 a% W4 D+ a5 Tcycle-to-cycle jitter, period jitter, and long-term jitter. All jitter measurements
