Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
2 \# q2 P" w- s/ ?; J' OIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between7 ~0 T/ `! X+ Z5 G- d2 O: f& b
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
) u4 ~8 t! ?7 H. I; O- {0 {Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
" [8 ]% i# k. U% bBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.9 {0 m- V7 n/ r& G9 }$ J
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:* I$ ~+ o( z C0 K" X2 H! ]7 n
1. Open the viewer.1 V/ }1 }7 P# O7 h
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.% X/ V8 }: z& F, T; f
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…1 B! G' M0 a h3 C/ v7 w
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' g- E6 F G. x$ ^
5. Click Connect.
