Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
' F" L* Z; ^* c6 o* _If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between$ u) ~$ w, Z* D
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre% u& {9 N3 _, U9 S1 i
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
7 R, @! V1 d* R% K {* l# zBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.4 h) M/ \0 Q7 A, K0 F) k
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:' P5 ?& I8 S; w* G4 {/ h* j7 ?
1. Open the viewer.
9 r, ]& [# j7 h; ~! B2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.$ x, Q' @- G& V( H4 j# x6 d6 b
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% i' K( T4 N7 q, [" e5 A" z1 M
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
