Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
9 v8 K! M& u5 tIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
, K/ u6 z$ e) B" ^& y8 |1 \the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre# r7 c+ G. j) L3 H5 \# d
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets., [- Y. R7 Y( n% i' A8 O
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.
9 B3 h6 y- T; C8 b2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.6 |9 [. h' G4 [1 u3 o
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…" G! o& _* w! V3 a* ^) g
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
