Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
" @7 v: A) |5 y8 kIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
& S0 s; K" ]$ ithe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
3 x9 P0 C5 l2 W# F8 uInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.+ ?9 @6 C V& K% J
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.$ ?1 X, Y! }2 E% e4 m5 ^3 L+ N
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:$ i9 T, o- J% {+ _3 v8 `* \8 ?" P+ `
1. Open the viewer.! V6 J( z: p4 o9 N! H6 p# I7 k
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
! _) d" K9 H6 j; g2 Y+ u# f3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…2 H0 i$ G+ T) j5 j
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.0 \" B$ A# O- r5 \4 r1 A5 X. \
5. Click Connect.
