Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
( |$ o7 E1 Z$ S4 wIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between' s. x; j p9 j% j
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
% w; ~' h$ g9 b" C( S s0 _& MInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
7 _% b7 x/ m+ R! {% ` {By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.8 }6 j% i( g' v% |2 A% f
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
1 F/ R- n9 j5 ]$ ?- k1. Open the viewer.) V0 t8 n7 q7 c+ P2 z2 C
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.* x+ g; ^% B1 z; y. S, h
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…0 E( d# m$ t! o4 g; S, [! d1 A
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.& ]! w6 Y% X+ g/ E3 w# j
5. Click Connect.: B2 ~+ C( F7 S, |: o
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
