Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
# n8 G* R: S+ L" V: GIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
3 G+ _: Y3 L2 ^& athe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
8 a+ Y) [( q5 Z' w! fInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
/ g" r# N8 i; y4 K) w5 fBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
. J/ E, M- s& l# J% P- ~7 L% R$ P# sYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:! H4 o% G$ n) H
1. Open the viewer." u* w, B$ M7 y; v
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.% ^ t) f) r, x" ~! s% m/ V* E
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
. u6 T ^: `9 b4 b: J4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.! N9 w9 C5 @3 D) d5 S% @
5. Click Connect.
