Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 A _; c' W XIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
3 s( ]- o( @" Z+ ?# I4 [the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
; ?0 m. \6 d; B/ b3 J. L6 MInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.$ s |' I6 x' ]
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
: J* e$ b; B2 z7 vYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:" X; U! ]9 [# U# D
1. Open the viewer.
: w; p M$ s8 o) W2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
( ]: y: `3 T5 ~$ B2 \: b! E3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
7 D- J/ i9 Y. @9 ~4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
