Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
( {. j, r) o% m" dIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between* L: K7 A4 z# U+ z1 s6 F
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
- A& |4 c1 d% q2 V7 d! GInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.8 I: s5 i3 q1 p, m
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.6 d7 _# o- S( ^. e2 [; O
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
0 w6 D; k! @1 E1. Open the viewer.
# h' j5 t! B+ h6 Q/ F0 o2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened." p6 \% q. g. z5 o- y9 P3 Y; ]( g# U
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…& q; u# w, ?- }; p7 `
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.8 N* C1 l5 F2 K
5. Click Connect.
