Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
' Z0 _% { Y8 V6 LIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between. t# K: _! }$ [9 m1 E0 s/ l
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
$ C6 E) h U$ p% \Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
4 M8 ~, `; H! u+ _: X# EBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.2 l; A$ K# B- x4 q) x5 V' m
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:" N! j7 ^* W0 R9 _( i
1. Open the viewer.3 C# A' H4 a# q: ?" k- k5 x( g' I; b
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
! V$ O J% p. c% \" w( H) V7 _3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…0 K; l2 Y" O9 W) l$ I
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.& B- b& H1 O4 w- `7 _( l
5. Click Connect.
