Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
1 K7 J2 T8 T# f) gIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between9 | A6 m$ k- H$ G4 I8 `$ j
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
7 m- O9 ~( Z w8 Q. c; MInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
" }2 h- {7 N7 s% a6 bBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.! m9 \, O9 E" _9 Y: D7 o% l: M8 C4 s5 C
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
8 B, f/ [* l4 q$ ^7 {3 P4 t/ b1. Open the viewer.' f4 v G, R# q4 B
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.' [1 ~. r0 i+ @( r
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
k- n! l& P* i+ P4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' b( \9 v6 ^! k$ S8 h# h$ l: S z+ B
5. Click Connect.
