Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre, U& {9 m% `, [* P: B; ~
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
2 L# q, \8 I4 T. P5 O- G* F$ b0 pBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.( |( U3 C7 f! E, h% L* X( x. B
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:( p( D5 b: P: m x1 U
1. Open the viewer.3 [7 q' T# H# \% I {# l
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.6 O1 \! @" u; _2 h3 h* z8 {
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
