Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
( A( h+ t6 w; F% kIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between6 y- o% U# L( [9 X2 Q
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
5 M' n! J" Q4 A3 n4 S1 S( g7 W0 NInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
5 C8 r0 l" }! [0 F. A- a4 BBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.7 |% B1 x9 ]* @) _" ~5 R
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:2 s! i# Z( ~) I+ n
1. Open the viewer.
' d! d7 ?& V2 y& c2 e$ v2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened./ v$ }4 t# u, o4 l0 _+ z
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…) E( ?9 S1 T8 X( S7 s! V% t$ \
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
