Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
" A2 E" w. U: ?5 b3 NIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
3 _7 K7 P% I& ]# Tthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre+ y1 { t0 m+ g, M& k% b) q
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets., G0 D D% z# B0 ]% ^& S4 `! |& t. c4 q2 f
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.. E5 b4 e. t: e* [9 J
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
% D3 ` I5 N0 d+ u1. Open the viewer.
! j2 C, t; S2 M2 b0 f+ o* J: M" G2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.9 }' Q; T5 D' b$ c1 D3 v$ b% e( I
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…2 P( }1 A# Y# I2 `0 _3 L
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.# [- I+ J6 d6 M2 b/ \8 j* }1 o
5. Click Connect.
