Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
0 j3 L' R" @, |If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
! O) t; l9 S2 W# T4 }! qthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre9 Z: T( H5 g1 A& H: h
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
+ R: v& b4 w# x: xBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
) j8 C% l- g% }You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:- |# `! T; p+ B/ [
1. Open the viewer.
0 A* z" W; _ }" F2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
( K, q0 X) j% H/ T/ E3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…* f, S/ I: r4 o- G$ o T5 E3 ?
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.8 y% d2 S9 }7 ~0 R

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
