Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
& ?( T# ]- Y6 J' u$ j' yIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
" N2 ?7 j+ B+ A' X. W. ithe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
y5 `; v# v' Z* M h( d3 k- TInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
9 t" O# }& P8 u: T5 D: pBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.2 ]. w6 Y8 n& |& h2 j r- r( P$ D
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
0 G0 d! A9 G& _7 n8 ?" J1. Open the viewer.
- e9 t5 K y# R2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
5 V, u4 v. h" O: L. o3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…

5. Click Connect.
