Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
; q3 h# P3 c/ T* x! R e% I! W& E2 L8 OIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between' u' k. X2 S& x) e5 _: b
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre6 F+ p) k# E' l- l4 j
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
* q. I! m' f% \4 K/ s3 M! pBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.# N* R- O0 d( Q* b# r6 S5 [
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:% F2 u0 \3 A2 E+ A* g
1. Open the viewer.8 K- M2 ?* N) k
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.% B0 C g( v" n/ G2 L3 o& l0 ~
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…# M8 B: O5 p7 l5 H5 y9 m
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer./ _. i- K/ W2 x+ W7 {- v
5. Click Connect.) c5 v3 d1 L4 V
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
