Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
# ^1 n/ C* t1 p6 CIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
: I2 R3 B. F3 p) sthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
* s k) F) r& k! Q) `+ k* `Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
& X" ]+ N. s! p3 ` m0 ^By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.% u2 L! f* f' z+ x- R
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:& {4 I" f1 L3 K0 g- r; x8 [. F. |1 B
1. Open the viewer." u5 l: }7 S% e6 b {4 o' R* W# A
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
# V: Y4 k# b. p4 i4 c6 Y3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…8 O5 m( t, Q5 D0 D) B8 @* d
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
