Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
' n6 ^$ e) X. t8 ?2 EIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between- O) M' b. I5 ^) o; Y; g9 b
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& ~% y/ |2 n7 e/ x3 ^( L. S2 fInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
) G# F' q) `. _; I. wBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.& L' Y0 _( O- P- h+ F
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
: l. _3 L q& R! C j, {1. Open the viewer.
" J Q/ d" |+ H/ I2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened." u: d9 W" c0 ]2 V$ O# `
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( t+ e, F7 P/ J$ |% x' z) w, k8 Q
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
