Setting Up Communication With a Viewer, v$ q6 k; H* [+ S8 v
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between. h7 g( z- N+ z) ]7 r$ v5 c
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 b) S5 W# e' ~- fInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.- g# U* Q# d1 ~
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.# N( N# o- U- W. k$ `; z( C+ m: T3 x
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
( f) V9 x$ d) y$ Q+ A1. Open the viewer.
* m N3 K2 N$ A# f3 S; z) q2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.4 o, O8 |. I8 `) `
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
' \3 i& Y" W5 F6 S ~- Q4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.9 @7 W: S Z+ G7 p5 z( c
5. Click Connect.6 p$ ^+ e/ M' z) N. l% j' Q
