Setting Up Communication With a Viewer4 |( l: o8 ^& C& H2 M, C9 L
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between: ~: T( p) e! C# b
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
$ f" o+ P1 e, c# e9 u8 b* d0 F% ]Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.2 d$ v( A* g- K5 F# H+ B0 N# u
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.& J" A$ d- G$ x4 L: |
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
5 w' p5 G1 l0 P8 p+ O$ V }6 u3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…. s2 L" z* Y& f2 P) a
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
