Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
1 d: ~ f; S& X- H" bIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
$ n X& q7 h1 K1 hthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre' M! L8 R) }% ?1 U
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.5 d+ | ^" G$ E( ^ m
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
E0 M) R! `6 G4 N' EYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:0 [! s+ Y5 |- b; P' b
1. Open the viewer.
" @$ z8 Q ]/ C1 f H5 |2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.: O: J5 s; R; r, x; f5 m' J
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…: ~2 |9 F) c0 ~$ v, K$ Y' W
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.7 g( f9 W8 s( b. C
