Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
1 R" \+ S$ B6 h& N( U( E. a) q6 KIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between% m8 M* j; \4 G' w Z# I
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
! P/ M$ t2 ~3 p, o* p) EInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets. k( v, |. \; B/ J+ x) X' L& K) ^
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.+ M3 Q% F! z9 o3 |4 @ D
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:$ K* T3 y9 z T' c% m! D0 e, I& D: r
1. Open the viewer.
, F: A, w$ B5 D% d1 L( L8 i+ R( k2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.: }! a0 i* ^# Q7 }2 S& w7 g$ ^
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% {" A6 t9 `0 a3 h! i
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
