Setting Up Communication With a Viewer$ k# r; s0 }6 ^! O% ^9 h( T% H
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between; b$ {4 q& w B
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre * {9 i" N* n; S7 [Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets. 9 f- r5 n Y! H1 \- F U; p! G# a" v, YBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.* F/ M& E) g" d) d
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:/ s9 b/ @/ W7 r! X- o
1. Open the viewer.9 m9 M7 Z% A: k7 T0 v. ?
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened. 6 x+ H( f& R# S+ ]2 i/ ~7 \3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer… / @3 F) d# X' X1 T: F( V4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.7 V* e4 d. @. ]% m8 h
5. Click Connect. ( s- Z( b" F; j6 T' ?& C: Q# y6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer.
