Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
3 e' `" h- c/ ~9 l0 E z' FIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
5 ^7 f* b' J. t5 z7 b. y( cthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
+ Q) U8 q6 u% Q; q. AInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.& ]5 t! J# X9 y/ t2 Y$ u
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
/ A& d. w) Z# }& ^. @7 yYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:8 ^3 b# n. P( m. m" B
1. Open the viewer., }: u' P# G8 g% x
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
5 \0 J! u$ E: y- }* g& S4 k3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
9 G. e6 s" [) u. U V4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
