Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
& C% y1 A l& g; lIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
$ E$ n/ `; O9 A0 u# A( Nthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 [( P' x# z: p: vInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
* i+ R, D+ M& RBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
, Z R- F* [% Z2 a# c; ^You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
5 \; k S9 J- S! n* u/ {% `& O) x& k1. Open the viewer." J. p- z( l& B- l/ P7 ~- u2 u
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.( e/ H7 Y! N4 {% z% @
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…; g* v' i5 M. w8 c
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
