Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
% R% w& m& V8 y& FIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
3 ^5 J# |8 M+ L6 u0 G) K Ethe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre4 d) \0 |: s1 p2 s2 s& A3 m. x8 p# N0 G
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.+ U& f$ i" D$ c/ a9 `0 l
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.- |" x0 V; O- u% h0 m
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:, o. J& u: f) a$ e. q
1. Open the viewer.
* H; A! i; T0 ?4 j- [3 _1 X5 O. g* _2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
* ^; f5 [+ n4 F2 W) I& t+ r3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…' w- C( [3 Y G) J8 V1 J' t1 v3 P
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.. \9 t" c" h- Q
5. Click Connect.
