Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
% O; S0 }9 V. d/ I6 tIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
% y0 l- J( l' g. |& `/ jthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
0 ^( i. N+ }; R( EInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
6 Z3 s8 p3 _4 j O/ {* _/ M1 fBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
9 J8 w' k2 X+ Q' ZYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:' z, t! V: U$ _3 K) N* w6 f. I
1. Open the viewer.
0 q& w* k2 b7 \% L; R; f( }8 d2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.. \; n3 ~) m4 I; [6 ?
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…$ |3 I0 s! s. r. Q: f
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer., M( s& L) k _& H- {2 r
5. Click Connect.: a0 b# D/ {0 d/ K7 f j# ]
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
