Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.6 B2 l* x& x4 f' ]5 u. d; r) {& h
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.) k, K2 S6 }6 r; C8 ], C9 R* \
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
- r$ e+ h2 H2 g8 f h: q1 f1. Open the viewer.: n' z M, t }0 W, ]
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.- I( N3 ^" p" S3 n( }: Q
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
3 y7 h0 E% N; x% _4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
