Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
/ V) J& m) e& i0 i/ W* M) KIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between- X: C3 \9 \) ^8 N8 c' n( K
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 W9 I5 m: J o. [+ Q0 K' F* AInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.0 T2 t2 I8 V* z; s0 L
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.1 d' H8 ~$ V2 n# p
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:5 a: Q* ~) H% }
1. Open the viewer.
! t/ M7 ]- U, i& Y# y0 C8 t; I2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
L; q6 d9 r# D1 }3 B8 G1 N1 J3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
) F: A# ~ ]4 t9 E6 o/ C7 L! R4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.7 B! `! x6 a4 {; e
5. Click Connect.
