Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
& l+ k" K2 h& g8 }If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between* Z/ J; a) x/ u" g
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre/ U: s2 V" n9 T/ h5 g' m5 n1 L( k
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.! E: W' M! L% j
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic., X0 F, q9 T0 V7 G9 j( I
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:1 @8 ?( ?: Y+ n+ U4 }& \. d7 P% i
1. Open the viewer.
4 {- |- S0 s' T# e3 h8 E2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
* Y: d; U- c1 b, k4 @3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
0 f' p+ o) B- K4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.3 |, d8 ^. \. A7 B4 o
5. Click Connect.+ E+ R7 L9 s, Y3 l4 [% H3 b
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
