Setting Up Communication With a Viewer9 E0 H9 w' O9 }
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
) u% Y M1 q4 J* ^the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
9 C! B7 q6 U% s! _9 r5 S. wInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.) t3 ?, W% e- ]7 f, \
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.# \7 a% ?- @6 x5 e8 Q9 H
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:( u, }! Z$ z8 D1 v
1. Open the viewer.
: Q, ?( Y% p1 d$ Q$ k8 A2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.* m' Q6 C' \6 |: T$ E; L% v% r4 D3 _
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…& a; p5 r8 O8 d& ? p9 A
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.& ]) J3 K( _. _# w4 |! T
5. Click Connect.
