Setting Up Communication With a Viewer8 q1 J; _+ S3 A! C q
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between: t U5 ]7 s$ k- d! x5 }/ Z
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
5 f! e7 h% L7 @' |! ?Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.) c [. ? c! S
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
/ E/ B+ K8 T1 J6 J( x6 kYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
7 Z. G3 m8 Z9 ^. q# I2 C+ f1. Open the viewer.
0 c2 y+ S& m, d+ `( O2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.3 E n$ `' U) }$ P
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…& r0 p0 c; T2 Y+ E- }
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.( R/ C2 W' P8 r7 h' _8 J5 w# d
5. Click Connect.( c( Y f1 F- G
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
