Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
4 b* ?8 t; P, G% d4 oBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
r1 n' ?' C7 J) w! @5 nYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:% ^- e6 r( S2 Y3 X
1. Open the viewer. O% p3 z' \1 ?) |' x! i
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.

4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' f7 X- [! D) p* \8 R
5. Click Connect.
