Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
# u0 ~7 q' M2 h+ M7 ?# T) O# eIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between) I* M# g0 |$ I6 ^
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
( B% }/ d: W2 m$ x3 F' sInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
; J# i4 J; e. N4 G u3 Z8 bBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.9 d0 Y* @0 U, v7 m" |
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
' y9 u% Z- F5 g" G8 n( C1. Open the viewer.
' H" X8 a. Q4 p4 Y2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.# _: k" J* n P; @8 B
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
; i/ y/ ]5 t( o" \# |9 Q4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.. j. [6 Z* m. F" F4 I
5. Click Connect.
