Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
* ~5 [9 k( I9 Y4 y5 `( U9 @If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
( q) b O+ s9 V) V9 _. zthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre! C/ a8 ]( p: H* p& A
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
9 \# S1 ?- u* H2 Z% oBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.
1 `- e4 Z/ U. C7 c4 v2 i2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
* m! ?7 o8 c( f% z$ r- n& W3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
( J" ^9 x7 @ n6 I4 G4 a7 Y3 F4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
