Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
, L1 O# N3 t; I5 U0 ?If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
4 R" d$ s0 Y; K) Q0 D2 mthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre7 j% s0 P" y8 [: s
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.& r1 H T" s8 z: V$ l. j
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
1 Z# S/ P1 z: I+ J( m1 _You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
) m' |4 o, ^/ B9 K1. Open the viewer.
6 J7 ~- ]- }( e5 \2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
; `' j( T# P# s: k! R& ]" x" [3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…# O0 `" b$ q. u+ _' K
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.! {/ g# d7 f/ s3 R" `( l; ]
5. Click Connect.
