Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
, Q2 u Q6 h( Z3 ?9 cIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
* t3 q3 H2 X9 `9 }/ l1 Y& tthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) W& j k7 Z3 w+ P
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
7 z @5 p& W/ e) f cBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.$ E/ U. _! @; @' }7 g# k% s
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:+ T$ E; _- R9 o* i1 C
1. Open the viewer.+ E' P* {. a, c) t
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
9 `& ~; [4 y' S( J$ E4 ?2 s& \) W3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( M* H ]6 @2 y6 N
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
