Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
+ x# v d% ?& o, d% ]# GIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
( }5 o- H6 ~5 E" v& Pthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
2 a+ U3 x% v" N+ R; F9 @4 dInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
' v# @4 a- J) A9 o2 ?By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.9 q/ j: J3 M& B. [" `/ \
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:5 b1 ^; |! d) V6 J8 [6 [7 Z! E, g
1. Open the viewer.. Q3 L X# U k/ q3 `* [! f
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened., q, h" Q# s) ^/ J# b: y4 T# N) O/ q
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…* X4 l; ?7 @/ \$ z; H p2 m
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
