Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
- J5 p' v" D- \+ C( PIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
$ J: U4 x. }( L/ kthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre, R( ]" M) O+ m# b: t
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.: z0 Q* E5 h0 k
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.# [" _, a3 `) N0 \1 i
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.3 B9 }7 r2 h) a! N V
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% p2 ~8 \4 E! Q* D4 x
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.6 C+ w3 h7 `: k
