Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
8 D3 a$ Y1 `) x- l L1 TIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
0 Q+ f2 G+ _5 q) q0 K* _0 gthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre1 B8 i3 e3 P2 Q$ s
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
" i( X4 R" I, y8 oBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
" L) g. K2 F& H7 mYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:; x2 N d) x( |9 u' Z8 M
1. Open the viewer.3 M+ l9 O7 D6 N1 T" K* F& T3 s
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
* h3 m- K$ R6 j% Q. P( K3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…% ?. n1 N( K/ W8 a! a
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
