Setting Up Communication With a Viewer! x! I% ^" S! {8 G" z+ K
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
) b+ v! L1 T& D! x+ qthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre( f1 m! e! z, H) b! F' @9 p3 K
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.+ k1 M0 l+ ?, g: Y. v/ l! Z k+ p$ o
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
: g+ `2 b( k8 U2 e. y- Q1 r' mYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:& L* C* t% c) B
1. Open the viewer.- M$ X/ @2 U3 k) U, a8 }/ O
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.% O" j4 R( b8 ~* J0 |
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…. w) A( ~( }( o- a( q9 A" H R
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.0 S) O' p' ~) l- W6 B
