Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

+ o8 i( n# _3 f( d7 N- p0 \: \the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre( H$ v0 C' O& S' `! Z- ~8 z/ S; }
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.) U8 r- ]! C% Z, v/ K) r) ]
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.7 }) O4 o Z2 C3 Z s4 E% J% C$ J
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:4 ?% n* U0 v% g1 g' }
1. Open the viewer.# m" h- h* Z) V5 j
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.4 U2 L; q0 T" x5 J. B; J
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…. a- `4 m9 ^5 H" f3 X4 F* b, o
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.- m! ?, D) |7 s" u8 \' v/ ^% x }
