Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
- J+ w& v- ?6 b9 m$ T, z' ~; lIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between' Q' X- ^# O! `- c( z2 @
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
3 l; C/ {: T, v- X) j' q* wInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
; Y& E# H+ D3 ~ e/ ]4 P4 h( cBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.# L! P8 k1 m0 v; \9 P9 M# n
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
0 U" c, S/ Y7 k9 A/ L- }; x. e1. Open the viewer.
- V# O1 r4 F6 B0 }0 |' U6 i2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.! K& {$ s; F& U
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
* A/ ]: N7 [3 B* M! S4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
