Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
% A3 y6 o- B" m% V0 KIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
) A' b: J" L! Z/ tthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
( v- W0 h( Q: J: I( }Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.. m" v+ @6 N# g, L
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
) G* o8 I/ C8 C* B/ v9 aYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
5 W5 l7 J4 p( ^, b6 r1. Open the viewer.
9 f* y% H- c! |: K4 @2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.& q1 ~& G) O! M/ Y, ~# A
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
: w, @0 {7 a3 l# x: F5 c" M9 P3 D& e4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.5 ~% M0 S# y# g' q) m7 l
5. Click Connect.
