Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre* c3 k% I+ s9 g9 l4 W
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.' d) j% Z- A: [
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.
" L% G& O8 X6 n& g' X2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.# G* z5 J7 a" e ~. {( v. C; k. J
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
6 \( ^6 W% n. N n4 h4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
