Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
$ ~- N. ?2 u. T% O, vIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
* E( D( {) o6 Pthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre* u! S- E. Q# M9 j5 h8 [3 X
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
3 X2 F+ j, O) q% _0 bBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.3 j5 u( ~. U+ R; R$ x
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:- M% { \9 j5 i
1. Open the viewer.
2 o# i9 e, u6 D2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
j6 R6 w" w1 @. I# C3 K3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
) Q+ w+ q7 x* |- ^4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.$ x% ?& p+ \9 v+ c' w
5. Click Connect.
