Setting Up Communication With a Viewer( j& Q) E& @2 t7 W4 u6 ^; j/ v
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between7 i1 g' c* o: w; |) H3 }( r* `& q
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre- h2 |: j l% M; B! Y
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
3 R, k5 i0 R& F( @" w% ?By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.5 |# `7 I" G6 A) c2 V. c4 V
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:: u1 G2 c" b) l- {0 Z9 z
1. Open the viewer.) M2 E _- |$ u2 L( ]; ~& g# c
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.4 u6 a4 k( A5 L) {& N5 U; t m1 r3 g
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…" W% G/ W$ ~$ y0 a& X
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.+ f5 s! l7 x. t1 e4 \
5. Click Connect.
