If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between, ?( H$ ` }. t" A% m
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre* p! _4 R! f5 Y3 j
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.) e) J, Q- U& U9 F
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.9 R: G$ P- e! A" z/ |
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( p( j- B. j1 o7 ]) x/ g# @
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
