Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
^ m0 v- g/ K) wInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.) E6 s; O Z) @) o
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.
' K+ W/ D5 P' V2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
: d6 C, i/ p$ y) u5 @3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…7 Q+ d- x6 C; M7 G3 C
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
