Setting Up Communication With a Viewer4 r7 h% q1 E+ F9 l$ V
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
+ l! R! D [8 Q8 p" c' Q8 vthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre2 x, p% j( v7 O2 r: t- Q W
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
6 e$ j+ k7 S NBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.; o. P$ j3 Z+ s6 a
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:# m. ^) S8 P! R& f
1. Open the viewer.4 n- |0 h' W) V$ r2 C+ q: ^+ w# I. J I
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
2 e& C2 C( ]4 a3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
6 h' [6 Z. j: [! H4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
