Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
9 v6 Q2 s T5 X1 y' w3 R2 PIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
9 A, l/ [( F! y# g: u# S% Tthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre& W* H$ C9 G* [. ^" p! F+ P
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
2 Z" {8 Y" N* n; J5 I# SBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.2 }6 \3 h! D9 G* T# y) K
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:: f4 w2 h! D+ M4 O* K
1. Open the viewer.# K7 i c' _3 a
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
9 E' Y; p1 y- y4 q; v) ]# F& m! \3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…# A3 E+ k: v# m0 K
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
