Setting Up Communication With a Viewer/ i% G$ _& T1 y
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
% H* G' q o4 N9 F! z) L9 vthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
! W+ w! W/ |- @. @! X4 j$ bInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
4 f, D' \+ J5 xBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.$ b5 y' ^1 x( A
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
* N8 L4 s8 U; [ b7 e0 }6 X1. Open the viewer.
( U' B9 ^7 L4 l ?0 G+ j0 @2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
* E: M" Z( O2 F9 B2 t6 p3 B3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
( z/ Q8 l1 N0 P' x/ g- ^4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
* o& p7 z3 {2 p) ^* x8 G8 p5. Click Connect.
