Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
% }, P- l$ X' n$ mIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between. ?, G8 ~. T- h, d: `3 k2 }
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& P2 Y# Y6 A0 y' ^( YInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
% b& W% F+ K% ]1 uBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.0 F, y; S0 g5 B, q* u
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:4 d* |/ O# d6 Q; ^9 T
1. Open the viewer.
0 s/ N( R8 j1 @: ~/ e( B2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.2 ~; j& k7 P+ n: { _
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
: A. l5 n: I6 I% O& C6 p3 b4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
