Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.5 o5 W. U4 |$ _( |5 H
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic." `7 v- l) I( }/ k; \1 h
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:; R( j1 k" \) m# `" J
1. Open the viewer.
- k. ^9 t4 Q" ~5 x' P& k! f6 R9 t2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.. \' E6 R* O3 d
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
( R; o# p7 u* t" u- f( s+ Y4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' l. p3 {$ t$ V' o3 ?# S
5. Click Connect.
