Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
" I: M5 p' M! ~- v F2 dIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
& r& {2 V" H; a! f+ k# v- uthe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre# F" l; l: l) d# G) w
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
1 F3 @5 D3 O! l$ w" u: F# MBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.8 k' P2 k4 N9 `$ L, {
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
5 f E1 Z U; ~0 ~1 J2 y8 v1. Open the viewer.' T0 h6 _' f6 N( j) b* _" V5 z, T
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
5 j' U7 F! h0 t3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
8 V* n( D9 f0 E5 Q4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.$ M3 @8 U9 s( W. l- g
