Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
4 B' p( O1 c3 O1 fIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between) `+ H& H( a& N1 U# p
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
X& e: i* i# `1 w" dInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
7 z- i2 m" d0 ]0 |( O% uBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.0 s4 S; `9 n+ ~% u! R
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:: P. m+ e* J- ]' ?( }/ c" D9 l% S
1. Open the viewer.
- n+ J) j8 |8 [' Q) Z5 F2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.. Y0 s% J& t" _% S4 U* J8 r
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…. _ n% y/ H8 F5 ]
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.- l& @1 I0 f& G1 K
5. Click Connect., n9 a8 X) l( F
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
