Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
3 A& s( ~6 q! w$ |2 v. `4 d7 K: _- {Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.* ~! o6 j. S1 i7 I! }9 c
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
, ?9 h& ]3 \7 J( C$ z* D7 l8 `& CYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:$ H: m$ _7 L. S0 Y& v: _
1. Open the viewer.8 b) a* x3 @! T% ]3 |( m2 E- H4 {
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
! Z9 c1 z8 s; q$ m3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…. n4 }) Q. \# N6 `; b- @7 z$ `; ]8 j% }
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' r( |+ q* K6 E

6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
