Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
# n6 h# P' h8 u KIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between
/ Q2 S \0 x; ^& ~the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& o* Y" n$ J7 U) R( ?4 qInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.! b; D& y o8 Y( D4 g6 y* Q$ J7 s5 T
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic. i- }; k& q3 n/ z- K- [' o
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
/ Y \2 Z2 N+ M* y* z; c1. Open the viewer.
& x8 t+ ^& }$ E! w' D2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.2 M$ D% Q: d7 z8 I2 n
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…- {6 N" I' L, P- m
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
