Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre4 |8 O( |+ X& n2 J: \$ G8 H3 _
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
* m7 ~! g$ C) Q8 IBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.1 b, q. o f2 Y: x ]4 J0 N
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
) U: q- p: b$ @: N/ N/ T8 R3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…

5. Click Connect.
