Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

) h6 Y6 q' B ^8 othe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
, | o3 s o7 kInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets." } v; s" \; I8 C/ L
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
6 O Y2 U0 Z7 E9 L: i5 {You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:1 ^1 U3 K ~+ [
1. Open the viewer.; _" v9 E; W9 I
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.7 w* }" s& t, ?1 Z* z( h2 ]
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…3 O e1 O% {9 Y+ e
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
