Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
' E1 }6 Z( P9 iIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between, o: V$ ?: O8 p
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre: U. G) V( `. f) H* R+ O' c8 l
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
+ `( s, u3 I& h' [By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.: T7 n7 J! i5 ^$ B6 z
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
9 m8 \! z8 v& T, i: \1. Open the viewer.
$ v1 s" j) ~) y8 C2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.- z6 k* s# B3 Q6 ^
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
4 G2 d0 f2 ^+ q4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
