Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
2 y. Q5 c7 A% X0 nIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between# b; q& H; @$ m- C
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
( N# g4 N6 g3 iInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.# O1 _/ B6 m* Q8 y
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.% I4 R" u9 [8 x
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:2 G' v( f0 Q% g6 X+ \
1. Open the viewer.9 x! K/ H8 Z5 D6 `' q
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.2 v: R) ?6 G/ E! z% d4 L1 m* Z+ k
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…1 c2 C8 Y e" p; p! c
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
