Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

. `, N, [8 c1 W* athe two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
- y0 V/ [$ F, |; Q' Q4 ?, pInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
" Z3 O7 i6 s+ H: e5 oBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.9 X$ G6 Q8 \2 F S4 H
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
* N9 Q/ X/ H! X: P" N1. Open the viewer.
3 m: G% g0 [4 K) Q- o; h2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened., z D1 J0 G8 o# x
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…7 ~* X- L9 a7 I
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.0 M; i5 i$ w0 N3 A- j+ p: i" W
5. Click Connect.
