Setting Up Communication With a Viewer* B! F7 L% @ h1 Z+ \
If you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between3 v" o# a" G6 X! L
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre* B/ z7 A2 V1 t0 n- Q/ Q8 R+ f
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
; V! _+ S3 U2 @ ~/ `By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.( h' P; ^# w! o( g ]& t
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:
& ^2 E x ]! S1. Open the viewer.$ z& k1 }. C- v: F/ J
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
3 E! g/ f& k- s# |3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
) J5 b8 Z5 k+ U- M4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.. q$ c" _4 w, o% u* i' T2 d
5. Click Connect.$ y/ |5 a2 I; d5 n. w) Y- V( H6 v& P
6. Click OK. The figure shows setup of a layout viewer. |
