Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
! X, w$ a1 ]. xIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between* H4 S; _7 @3 }9 c; q6 Q o
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre6 F1 M4 x0 o) ^9 G
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.& C. Q( W3 i/ O I' e1 Q
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
# U/ O( \+ L; w- y0 ?You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:& T, }- R e1 [
1. Open the viewer.3 C" b! W+ h5 q V5 F; v
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
! C2 c* O& r! }: g: l3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…( D* d* n3 N- F, b
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.8 C% f& k. z5 i$ X6 s
5. Click Connect.- `& ?! R5 R( U# a1 ?1 L
