Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
4 C% l ], R, d9 SInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.3 o, h+ }$ w) F( |
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.! D/ X7 e- W/ m8 t% f; y
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened., ^. Q6 M7 F# X& Z
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…- G. X% T# `% p+ d
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.' {4 F& g) i ?5 z3 E& ?
5. Click Connect.
