Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre
& w* h7 S% [6 z% A/ I5 PInteractive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.6 v5 N& Q. d: J7 M ~
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.: b. ]; i/ n; q. |8 A4 L7 e* k
You can change the socket address used by following this procedure:1 }+ x1 f7 H5 {
1. Open the viewer.
1 \; W; U7 L) D I/ M K2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.
+ R6 p3 i- }% T3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
