; D" j: u7 X0 y8 s所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
& I% i( `) D; v0 P% Q/ J雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道

要學歷沒學歷 要專業沒專業 英文也是不太行

1.schematic review and design
* a$ \) z9 M5 A1 h$ z原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
" ^% f( U% B& p5 p% O. ^  H5 T; f也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
2.layout review
, V+ }+ [" T5 D! e- H原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
. Y/ _1 a/ f, R9 s) G8 [# Y1 M9 w3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。

教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
! E$ h: `0 B& ^7 a+ p% }; ssales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。
5.Documentation
IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
" N) n! b$ I) Q2 E2 t快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。
2.溝通能力
% s! H. M6 Y8 C3 E! p' D8 v不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
3 z3 D- J8 e3 N! {, t3 L溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
工作事半功倍。
3.語言能力
  X) k& n- Q- _. Q無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
4.EQ能力
AE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。

通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配

AE的背景與出路：
背景：
目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
/ Z) T3 [! [+ K- o, G, G8 }% E三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
2 B3 U: O& \2 c! ]6 w出路：
AE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
" ^+ S# N& m" E' _/ [+ b8 R, a) q往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
AE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
/ P& i  Z( B. v; q薪水：
# `" o- M9 l5 K. k% K一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：
4 w' m; Q+ ?% o) e3 Rsales > marketing >= FAE > AE
2 A2 S6 R0 j7 [9 S' \不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

1 `. u5 m" g7 T, U4 Z那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

# V( v2 T( u5 N9 c- H/ i% V當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

. w9 p- Z$ Z& S8 B$ b; Q) Z' i在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

' r- W5 h% k7 b+ T" [0 P聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

專業知識也只問了一個Reset的問題 大概是我答的很快吧

' m3 n$ r6 ^) r# i大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

接下來就是回家等通知嚕!!!!

過了約兩個星期錄取通知寄來了 我就這樣開始了工程師的職涯

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

4 F' N: y5 K. S0 X+ Q* A對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

* Y( T" u" o. U8 W1 T1 B7 S還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

* a$ S/ ?7 p# j. Z我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快

由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

3 ~  I  k3 u9 Y8 j6 s' K: J9 p# O總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

因此會交際和實力一樣重要

, G. ~. `; M# ~) K" v$ p有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

. K6 f2 K! K6 }* b1 h或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

FAE需要的專業?

$ s+ }4 A! R/ G# I; \# I2 [FAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

5 v. z( y/ S6 O. F, ~4 f7 J零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

4 {( K1 E3 ]# }0 |* ?8 y; R看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

8 T6 n0 A$ Z4 Z- F, _: Z專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

* f0 u, h8 B2 Q5 [$ k% F差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

FAE的發展

由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

# q$ |  f" c6 z7 f/ M看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

以上三點是最主要的發展方向

若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

0 j% a/ q0 V7 Y  P2 I若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
