標題: Scalable Video Coding Shown to be State of the Art
Scalable video coding (SVC) was developed by the Joint Video Team (JVT) of ISO/IEC MPEG &" A# o1 x1 {+ X8 O1 q/ G
ITU-T VCEG in a standardization project completed in October 2007. The SVC enhancement of
' g+ k1 x; w. Q8 R9 L  Cthe AVC core design includes the specification of three scalable profiles (the Scalable Baseline,& z8 T3 T0 N6 e" l$ A" }% h
Scalable High, and Scalable High Intra profiles). It enables the construction of SVC bitstreams that* S5 M. N* j2 S( e8 H' h+ E
contain reduced bit rate substreams. The substreams can be extracted from the complete bitstream,
& ~# z, a5 L3 Kthereby providing scalability in terms of bit rate, decoding complexity, and frame rate, spatial
/ q6 H. D) ^, d3 m+ J2 Nresolution, or quality. In typical cases, one or more of the substreams of the SVC bitstream will be
- O. i" ~. g# b& \8 \fully compatible with ordinary AVC decoders. Frame rate scalability (also known as temporal
. [% l$ M; @" v0 U! v% nscalability) or spatial scalability refers to the presence of a substream with a lower sampling rate
6 V5 u2 ]0 \3 }  T! f7 sthan the overall bitstream in terms of time or spatial resolution. Quality scalability refers to the0 N0 D# z* `/ Y' h7 S, T
presence of a substream with the same sampling rate as the parent SVC stream, but having a lower& j& }( J$ d% y7 \. B
bit rate with a correspondingly lower quality.
